When Steve & Jay set out to name the band Jay suggested that "Sandbox" encompassed the concept completely so it was decided from that day the band would be named Sandbox Theory.
The concept was born upon the introduction to the eccentricities of the virtual worlds on the internet and the fact that some people live a "second life" with alternate identities in the form of avatars.
